I'm not a Bay fan, but I respect his authorship, & I will admit I don't particularly like the majority of his filmography. That being said, "Ambulance" is a fun Bay ride, a bit long between two big moments, but it's kept together by a good trio of Gyllenhaal, Mateen, and Gonzalez, even when the writing doesn't work, and it has scale that many modern blockbusters lack.

The acting was pretty bad. Seemed like it could of been GTA Online as a movie

Typical Michael Bay filim with typical style of loud explosive action sequences with the occasional slow-mo close up scenes. It's over-the-top with silly cringe-worthy dialogue, but if you just accept and go along with the premise, it's good mindless entertainment.

Good plot and twist. Jake Gyllenhaal was awesome as a villain in which I was surprised and his "brother" was believable. Seeing A. Martinez was nice coz he was my favorite actor in the '80's and yes I'm that old.
