Classic movie that never disappoints. Actors/singing was fantastic. Rita Moreno was wonderful and amazing in her role. My only disappointment is that I don't speak Spanish, so for a 3rd of the movie, I had no idea what they were saying. Would have been great to have subtitles. \r\rAppreciate the opportunity to see movie.

I prefer the original as it was more of a musical. This new modern version seemed more like a movie with songs, even though that's what a musical is. There was not as much dancing as I hoped for and the magic just didn't seem to be there like the original. The casts singing was phenomenal though. I will give it a 7/10

Great revamp of the classic. The choreography was great and the cast was on point. To ingest the racism seen from many years passed, and to see it still relevant is also heartbreaking. I only hope when this gets remade again, it’s a harder subject to understand.

Steven Spielberg's adaptation of West Side Story shows how musicals need to be done; a fluidity to the cameras that showcase the stellar choreography, a Norman Rockwell painting with stain glass windows aesthetic, and the music is timeless, etc. So if you like musicals in general, you have to watch West Side Story, if you consider yourself a film lover, you also have to watch West Side Story.
