The film, while centered around Mary's marriage and status in society, is packed with details and sub plots as they tie up ends from all the other major characters of the series. It's a whirlwind, and a lot to unpack. While it is nice to know how everyone "ends up", it is still overstuffed with details. You must be a devoted fan of the series to understand all the characters and subterfuge of this movie. Characters are often called by numerous names, and if you aren't familiar with the series, you will be lost.
