Movie storyline is not a new idea..action sequences and sci-fi concept are mediocre..Pratt is a good fit for the father figure. I love the most part of the film about this teaching role and scenes of trying to convince the students to continue to keep personal focus clear and to study (and in science) while there is much social disruption present...there's somewhat a correlation to current events and Covid times. It is worth watching and recommend to all, hence 3stars out of 5!

An entertaining movie except the science portion of the plot is suboptimal.

This is an entertaining shoot-em-up space monster movie. It seems too formulaic to me, though. I was slightly offended at the clumsy black guy being shown the ropes by the skilled white guy. How many times do we have to see this? It's insulting to all minority viewers. Stop making movies like that!\r\rThe screening technology sucks. I spent the first 10 minutes of the movie trying to find a way to get it to play properly. You need to carefully determine which hardware and software combinations you support, and then make sure that they work.\r\rI would say more but have hit the limit.

The movie started out really great, was super entertaining and scary and had some really interesting ideas. It kind of dragged on unnecessarily and there were some pretty cheesy parts right at the end. Chris Pratt is wonderful as usual though. He's really fun to watch.
