Plot was interesting. The cast fit their roles well. Like the setting/location. Liked the fact that it was a comedy (bordering slapstick) but still with some heartfelt messages.

Plenty of good laughs in the movie with some really funny scenes. I thought the acting was good. My main criticism was the screenplay. Some of the writing was too over-the-top with scenes where a more subtle approach would have sufficed. There needed to be more “spark” between Ms. Witherspoon and Mr. Farrell during the film (e.g., “When Harry Met Sally”). After all the animosity, it didn’t make sense, the two got together. I am not a film critic, but it seems to me this is a fault of the director. My guess is that Rotten Tomatoes critics would have given this a 65 and the audience an 85.
