was a funny family situation that came about out of a possible sad one

This is a charming and funny film with a nice portrayal of a mother-daughter relationship. I loved Melissa McCarthy's performance as a mother and wife who has given up everything for her family but is then thrown aside by her jerk of a husband. A few over-the-top moments but that is to be expected in this type of comedy. Very uplifting!

Laughed out loud. had moments of discussion for niece. Good get together movie.
