It was a great adventure film. We need more films like these. Adventure films that don't suck.

Some changes from the book but they seem to be well done/appropriate changes that make sense.

Visually impressive, great job building a virtual world if it did feel rushed at times. Casting was great for Halliday and Og. Some of the changes made from the source material were better in my opinion than the original, such as The Shining movie challenge as opposed to the WarGames act-along. Romance felt forced but it did as well in the source material. Overall an enjoyable experience.

General pulp movie, and went in expecting that. It has structural problems with its plot that have obvious seams, and things are resolved way too fast and conveniently for the problems posed in the film.But it was still a fun film, and worth seeing in theatres, as long as you are not expecting a film to change your worldview.
