Frightening relatable to the current situation going on around the world right now. In a world of madness it shows a glimpse of hope.

Songbird is a worthwhile watch that does it's job of entertaining, but one time is enough if you're an avid movie watcher. The story line of how the nation deals with a population infected with a deadly virus is rather thin and the characters are never fully fleshed out. Worse yet is the fact that they never show the infamous "Q zone". That in itself tells me that producer Michael Bay can't oversee or create successful and well made projects that don't have 100 million dollar budgets. The locations were very limited and uninspiring making the viewing experience less than cinematic. Director Adam mason does his job in making a dramatic thriller that will never be mistakenly thrown into the horror genre due to it's haphazard pacing and choppy cutaways. The substory of the philandering husband should have been left on the cutting room floor so that they could focus more on his "side business" with his wife Demi Moore, as well as where the infected are disposed of, even though I will admit it is alluded to in obvious terms by way of the main villain's job description. My personal ranking of this movie would be a 5.5 out of 10. Anyone ranking it less than 4 is either being a jerk or hasn't watched many movies, and any ranking above 7 is being disingenuous. Feel free to enjoy it.

I must have missed the part of why it was safe to go to the beach that they were trying to escape, because I don't see how it makes sense to help two people that are in quarantine go somewhere else and be safe. The main character was lucky that his girl was immune as well and that Lita died so that he won't be the reason that she gets sick if she would have been able to escape. It appears to me that Nico and Sara were both selfish in trying to get the grandma to escape while sick. I also didn't like the part where a random guy basically gives up his life to help Nico. Overall, I enjoyed the movie a bit.

It is refreshing to see new original material in a movie. The story could have used some more work, as if production was rushed to fit "these times we're living in." Overall, it was entertaining.
