Very good movie made better knowing it was based on a true story. It had all aspects, family, romance, comedy, and drama. Will definitely recommend this movie to my friends!

First of all, I like the fact that it is a true story. It spotlighted religion, putting it in the right light and showing how important it is to individuals, especially individuals who are deeply rooted in their faith. Great cast, great action and a movie that truly captivated and held one's interest from beginning to end.

This movie could have easily drifted into sentimentality but it did not. The battle scenes were gritty and realistic. Acting was top notch. Highly recommended.

Well done and well acted. Great special effects, but a bit too realistic for everyone's taste. Introduction of actual ridge could have been better, maybe a scene of the officers planning the attack over a model. Climbing a single cargo net up the face just hard to believe. If the Japanese held the ridge, why not just cut the net? So, a few holes in the plot...but still an enjoyable movie. B+
