Unique and Interesting movie.

Many parts of the movir were unrealistic. The ending was uneventful. It was not happy or sad. It did not leave you with any impression.

We enjoyed the movie overall, but felt it could have been so much better. There were several plot missteps that hurt the flow of the movie (like why did it take a helicopter so long to get to a crash site when they were almost there, and an entire team arrived and investigated the scene before hand). The acting was good but the direction was lacking. Why was the main character so aloof about earth when he had the Internet at hand and also the entire movie library in history at his fingertips... All of this aside, the movie was a fun story that gave a positive spin on a surreal situation.

Interesting plot idea, but needed more character development. Would help to know the femail astronaut and to see boy as he was growing up a little. Relationship between geeky boy and gorgeous but damanged girl not 100% believable. End of movie was ambiguous--did female astronaut take in damaged young woman as family or to train her to go the Mars to be with boy?
