The story line didn't make any sense. A young Laura Croft refusing to believe her father is dead after 7 years, and was pressured to sign paperwork stating the fact, so she can get her inherent. Finds a clue of her father's last whereabouts, and despite his message to burn his research, she uses it to find him. The action was excellent! Really liked the bike scene.

It was fine, but predictable.

Was very action packed, Kids enjoyed it.

The last half hour is fun, when the movie really commits to being a pulpy video game adaptation. But the earlier goings couldn't shake a perfunctory feeling (even though I do respect the attempt in the first two acts to establish a legitimate story). Alicia owns the role, which is cool to see. But as for this movie, I would have preferred more tomb raiding and less uninspired expositional set-up.
