I thought the acting was brilliant. The cast held their own against the formidable DDL. The score was essential to drawing us into the movie and keeping us captivated. Fascinating story, perfectly framed and a pleasure to watch.

Unique. Daniel Day Lewis mesmerizing as always. Also lead actress beautiful to watch and listen to. The story was engaging but a little slow at times. The costuming, however, was perplexing. The supposedly beautiful dress creations by Woodcock usually looked less than stunning. The fabric was wrinkled and the fit often not flattering. So that was bothersome at bit.

It was good...but not great. Too many great movies this year for it to stand out.
