Grounded look at what contact with aliens could actually mean. Very solid psychological thriller. Incredible performance by Amy Adams. One of the best sci-fi of recent years.

This film was a thinker, but it was well worth the journey to get the end. I loved the concept of this film where humanity needs to come together to survive, in a time when right now there is so much divisiveness in the world. Amy Adams was a wonder. Visuals were great. Most importantly the story was awesome.

I was expecting this movie to be like Alien/Independence Day/Prometheus, however it was not at all. I enjoyed it because it came up with a different idea for the aliens. It also turned out to not necessarily follow the aliens the same way as most alien movies; It was more about Dr. Louise Banks and Ian Donnelly's characters than the aliens. I also liked that it kept me guessing the entire time.

I loved it Arrivals, I found it very though provoking. Amy Adams delivers an amazing performance.This movie realistically shows that we humans when something is not understood, find it easier to try and destroy it while perpetuating fear mongering.
