If you’re tired of the standard vampire tropes and just want a fun, mindless monster movie, then Abigail may be just the thing to slake your thirst for blood. Not adhering to the traditional vampire, or vampire movie, rules, Abigail serves up blood galore, albeit on a very thin platter plot-wise. The trailers pretty much tell the whole story. Solid C effort.

It is more like two and a half stars. The movie has a cool Gothic location, camera work, and some good acting performances (particularly Dan Stevens and Will Catlett). The movie suffers from plotholes, excessive use of gore just for the sake of it, and some annoying stereotypical characters.

I would recommend it because it was good acting & had its funny moments but I would wait for it to be on television. To me it was just that kind of movie.

It's an OK movie. I was hoping it was scary but more so of a comedy/suspense
