It wasn't what I expected. Something about the movie fell flat. It had a little momentum but towards the end it loss touch with its creativity and seen just thrown together.

I thought the movie was okay. It was a new spin on an old story, surprising because the adventures were stories told by the Djinn and not actually happening to Alithea (the main character). One of the things that was interesting was that none of the recipients of wishes were male. Is that a nod to pro-feminism everywhere? I expected more from Alithea; in the end she acted predictably.\r

Nice visuals but story line was complex and seem to run on.

Didn't like the lengthy story telling. Needed more action than story telling. I was falling a sleep, and all the narrative parts had me sleepy. But, it was a good movie and great actors that kept me interested.
