Great cast performances

If Danielle Deadwyler is not nominated for an Oscar, then I don't know what to tell you about the Academy Awards. But it's a difficult movie to pull off because it's such an unspeakable, horrifying story.

So so movie. Sorry. I want to like it, but i didnt like the ending. But i liked the fact that its based on a true story. Thats about it… movie was not bad

Danielle Deadwyler made this movie. Her acting was superb. She brought tears at times, and expressions of "you go Mamie" at other times. The supporting cast acting was good with occasional spurts of better acting. W. Goldberg's acting was not! It seemed she was reading her lines as if she hadn't seen them before, showing little emotion and mostly deadpan expression. She missed several opportunities to show her acting capabilities. And, as usual, I had to take Rotten Tomatoes scoring with a big grain of salt!
