The acting was superb in this movie. I didn't know anything about the Bakkers before this movie and really enjoyed how the movie depicted their rise and fall. Jessica Chastain deserves an Oscar for her performance.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye made me laugh and it made me cry. I thought I was very familiar with the PTL and Bakker sagas but I learned a lot of new things. Jessica Chastain was EXCELLENT in this role. The way she embodied Tammy Faye was nothing short of amazing! I can't wait for this to come to DVD. I will certainly purchase it!

I learned things about Tammy Faye's upbringing I didn't know. Also how she & Jim Baker met & their lives before the PTL Club. I don't know if all of the history was true but it was interesting. Also didn't know they had 2 kids & they are carrying on in the ministry.

The film is worth this rating for Jessica Chastain's portrayal as Tammy Faye. She was absolutely phenomenal - definitely award-worthy! I was a little hesitant about Andrew Garfield in the role but he was able to pull it off.
