Excellent movie! Intense and great performances.

The movie is great and Leo was awesome I think he is winning an oscar this time

Very INTENSE wilderness survival movie. Not what I expected. Movie shows many factors, including luck (or some would say divine intervention/God), that determine or affect survival in the early northern frontier. Social statements about race and economics emerge simultaneously with optimism for humans due to the expressions of love, honor, kindness and acceptance of human difference.

The cinematography was breathtaking. Some very intense and heavy scenes. The bear fight and the final fight were fantastic!
