The performance did not feel authentic to me. I thought it was a bit contrived and focused a lot on family disfunction. It was certainly another quasi ok telling of a story of a legend. Doesn't really focus on music. Thus far. The flash backs are a bit distracting. Hate when stories are told in flashback.
