I see how it could be considered a good film, but oh my gosh

i thought the movie was good coming from someone who doesn't watch a lot of romance films. it was a lot funnier than i expected in the first half but not enough to completely take you out of the film. there were a lot of great reactions from the audience in my screening. this movie definitely has more mass appeal than i was expecting. although the ending wasn't quite what i was expecting, it was still a satisfying enough conclusion. i thought the soundtrack fit the movie better than i thought based on what i had heard of it.

Wish they actually cast a POC for Heathcliff to be closer to the source. Idk there was no need for the whitewashing when there is so much POC talent. Rest of film, visually stunning and excellent performances.
