I laughed. I cried. I loved it! The story, the CASTING, the acting, the singing - it was amazing!

I loved it!! There was a few hard scenes to watch, as expected but I loved the musical & female empowerment aspect to it. Now I’ve got to watch the original!:)

Oscar nominated film worthy! Camille Brooks will take home Best Supporting actress!

This was a fantastic revisioning! Amazing to see Steven Spielberg back on board and cameos of several recognizable Actors, including Whoopi Goldberg, who had portrayed Celie in the original movie. Great dance choreography, songs, and strong performances from Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Colman Domingo, and Danielle Brooks. This is a well-crafted film and a story of awakening and redemption. Hope that it is remembered during Award season.
