Visually beautiful film. I loved Emma's father.

it got a bit long, it was cute and had some funny moments, but was slow and dragged a bit...Maybe for a true Austen fan, it would be fine, but I was rather bored.\r

There were some wonderful parts (Bill Nighy) and some unnecessary parts (nudity). I was disappointed that the characters weren't developed well to the point that someone unfamiliar with the story may wonder who the person was (Emma's sister). The costumes were beautiful and landscapes lush, but much of the charm was lost.

A must for Jane Austen fans. A slightly different interpretation. Not as sweet as the Gwenyth Paltrow version but enjoyable nonetheless.
