Excellent plot, great suspence and entertaining!

Terrific direction, excellent script, especially notable is the musical score. Hardy is always a roller coaster, and this does not disappoint. Spectacular scenery, delicate camera work. The best period piece in years.

full of gorgeous scenes of Dorset countryside, excellent acting that made viewer believe each character's person, engaging conflicts and events in characters' lives, fast pacing in script, humor that interrupted the difficult passages...I'd call it an experience in catharsis!
