It was good. I would have been ok if the girl from the first one was in this one too. I felt like that story and character still had room to grow. I am looking forward to part 3!

Day of the Soldado is too sober and grim for the sweaty heat of Touch of Evil. But it has taken to heart one of its best lines: All border towns bring out the worst in a country. The film is tense and entertaining across the board, presenting a fully realized world with real emotional weight. Benicio del Toro is the Ernest Hemingway of screen badasses, the less he says the better he is. He does his most convincing work while looking like he's about to nod off. Worth watching.

Great movie, would watch it again. Few things: muslim terrorists - somalia - inregistered ships - US secretary - drug cartels - two mexican kids on opposite sides of border - lots of dead low key solders... All those bullet points were left hanging in the air on negative note. Any of BIG guys got the picture or paid the price? Even US Secretary backed down, he shouldn't be in the script.

Dark, gritty, heart-pounding action.
