Plot was disjointed, weird cuts, dialogue was stilted. Sad because concept definitely seemed to have potential.

Boogie attempts to tell a story of the struggles of Chinese americans to succed, but doesn't make the characters seem real. The dialogue is stiff and stunted. The actors playing teenagers don't look anything like teens. The characters aren't fuly devolped and don't seem like real people. We feel no sympathy for any of the characters. This movie wanted to be better than it was.

Didn't care for it at all

It was slow and not a great story/plot. I felt the characters were hard to relate to and the relationship between Boogie and his girl was not believable.
