Far fetched, but entertaining. A bit predictable.

It was fun to watch, and a good escape. It was like Starship Troopers, but with a time travel twist. However, the time paradox of who created the toxin, and everything about the future war after the aliens are destroyed in the present is the point that ruined the movie for me, unless there was something that I missed, and there was a second ship that didn't get destroyed, thus insuring that the future timeline stayed intact.

A less campy, less amusing Starship Troopers feel that was still entertaining. Knowing Chris Pratt’s conservative religious views made it feel pretty preachy at the end like he was pulling a Kirk Cameron Left Behind kinda deal.

I enjoyed The Tomorrow War. As a lover of sci-fi, I found it's premise engaging and creative, it's creatures impeccably (and terrifyingly!) designed, and it's story generally compelling. For a 2+ hour movie, it flew by quite quickly. Grounding your complex, sci-fi story in the dynamics of family and an overt but not unsubtle metaphor makes the movie a recommend from me. However, I would qualify any recommendation with the understanding that this is a very different movie than I was expecting. The "soldiers" sequence ends quicker than expected, and there's two more major sections to go. Enjoyed
