It was a little longer than it needed to be. The moments of levity helped a person like me who's very easily scared. I appreciated that even with some gaps in the science, there weren't any trope-y scientist mistakes for the sake of plot. The ending of the second act felt more like a third act even if predictable.\r\rOverall, I had a good time.

The time travel aspect of the movie was interesting. I thought Chris Pratt was very good. However, I felt the first half of the movie was formulaic, down to the nervous, comedic buddy, the Colonel being Forester's future daughter, and the nerdy kid in school saving the day. I thought the movie was going in the direction of prehistoric earth creatures thawing with climate change, and was disappointed when it went back to the alien premise.

It left me with more questions. Like is there a sequel? I wanted to know more of why the aliens came but it was left unsaid. Too much built up for the main character not enough of the world. Also some time travel questions!

Interesting concept but, fairly predictable.
