It held my attention and while I figured out the ending early on I still enjoyed getting there. Britt Robertson was great and was truly believable.

Pretty decent movie. Acting was good. I just wish the trailer didn't give away so much of the story.

This movie fits the perfect definition of a Rollercoaster. Of course it had a slow intro which in retrospect could've been cut in half, however was also important to the build of the film. Once Gardener came to earth, his romance with Tulsa was the highlight of the movie. Butterfield and Robertson had and excellent chemistry which led to a believable performance. While the reveal of Gardeners father wasn't a high plot twist, the unveiling of his uncle was. The movie had 3 different ending possibilities; the ocean drowning, the plane into space, and the return to Mars. However seeing the movie is a romance, the happy ending fit nicely into the overall story. The romance mixed with some comedy and drama led to a succesful telling of this spacious tale. With all of this taken into consideration, I'd award this movie a strong 3/5 stars.
