The movie was very intense, a sad reminder of how bad race relations were, and a reminder that we still have a ways to go. The show was expertly acted. Definitely deserves the "R" rating due to violence. While the story started with a top down view of the riots and rebellion, to stop police abuses, it focused on one tragic event. It's definitely worth seeing.

It really keeps you on your toes. It tells a story of oppression that children and young adults these days don't understand. A story that our history books ignore.
