Beautifully told, painfully sensitive, highly nuanced story with pitch perfect performances. The young daughter Jessie (Sydney Kowalske) is a revelation.

It was a heartfelt and painful telling of an adopted immigrants journey as an American. I felt really connected to his story as a 1st generation American myself. The only hang up I had was the b story of the abusive cop. Though I understand the ultimate point and the consequences he provided to the protagonists story I feel that relationship needed to be fleshed out a bit more to really express the disdain the officer had towards him. Otherwise excellent film!
