Entertaining enough, some good points were made about how society views mothers who leave their families to pursue their careers vs. fathers who do the same. This won't win any Oscars but it was a good opportunity for Meryl Streep's daughter. Enjoyed Rick Springfield's character.

I was surprised to like this movie as much as I did. From the previews, it looked "cheese y", but, it was not. I enjoyed the acting, the music and the story. Will recommend it to friends.

I enjoyed the movie ... loved the music! Meryl was stellar and added another notch to her acting/singing resume'! Is there ANYTHING she can't do?? The story was a little weak ... I think the focus was definitely on the music and made it a little slow in places. But, overall, it was an entertaining flick!

it grew on me. I didnt identify with the characters in the beginning and it was negative. But it grew on me.
