Incredibly well done movie adaptation of this super robust musical! Loved reliving the moments I watched unfold on the stage on the big screen and seeing how it was “updated” to appeal to an even more modern day audience. The little Lin-Manuel Miranda “Easter eggs” scattered throughout the movie were great touches for all Lin fans, too! Definitely a must see!

First and foremost the soundtrack was incredible. I loved hearing the storyline play out across words and lyrics, the tempo constantly changing with the emotions of the characters. \r\rThe movie gave you an insight into poverty and immigration while also experiencing the joy and wins of the residents. I was rooting for all the characters! Also the diversity of extras/small characters was amazing.

It was a beautiful representation of the story of Washington Heights and i would definitely watch it again. The focus on dreams and making them reality was portrayed just so beautifully and it really warmed my heart .
