I liked the story and the acting, but I had a big problem with the credibility of the kid's journey. There's no way he would have survived the plunge into the frozen lake. And how did he keep finding firewood when there was nothing but ice or snow as far as you could see? With Mission Impossible, you expect the stunts to be over the top. But with a story like this, you want to believe it could have happened. I just couldn't.

Great visuals and compassionate (but unrealistic) storyline

I would recommend this film for a friend to watch at home, not in the theaters. It was nicely done, the actors portrayed their emotions quite well, but I couldn't help but feel as though something was missing. I left feeling a tiny bit dissatisfied over something I couldn't quite put my finger on. Maybe a lack of action, a lack of absurd conflict? (Though the whole movie was in conflict, yes.) I thought that the beginning of the movie's transitional scenes were also a little irritating.

I enjoyed the movie, it was different than movies I usually see. Gives a better respective of mans best friend and humans learning to socialize with each other in harmony.
