slow moving at first

I thought the movie started really well, but somewhere along the middle the flow of the story collapsed. It felt like a series of things happened, just to happen because the director felt they should be there. An example would be the boy got sick at the end. let him be the man to walk into the camp.The killing of the sabertooth should have actually showed the animal, instead of just a shadowed image. It is a special animal and would have been great to see the elongated teeth on film

Not historically accurate at all. However, I'm used to Hollywood's revisionist history. Storytelling at its finest - creating history and culture that did NOT exist. Europeans want to have tradition and culture so bad. All of which was stolen from Africa once Europeans became civilized. During this time, Europe did NOT exist. Cave people did - but they weren't even half this intelligent. I digress. HOWEVER - the film was VISUALLY beautiful! The art dept. rocks! Heart warming & family friendly.

I wasn't expecting the subtitles on the film and didn't feel like it added anything to the authenticity of the storyline.
