I didn’t like that there wasn’t a plot to the movie and they never showed how they found out that it was the neighbor that was doing the killing

Kind of slow. Not very exciting and the ending was too abrupt. Also very strange that we hardly ever saw the girls parents.

After the seeing the trailer, I almost didn't watch When The Streetlights Go On. It didn't look interesting to me. I was surprised to find that I enjoyed it, right up until the end. I expected some suspense, or a twist or something besides..."here's who it was, the end". I found myself saying "That's it? You thought that was a good ending? That's the best you could come up with?" Disappointing.

I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. The dialogue was pretty clunky at times. The voiceover functioned as the main source of exposition and seemed like an easy way to avoid showing character development. I understand what they were going for with the ending, but I didn't like it. Some of the performances were good enough to overcome the mediocre dialogue.
