This is Guillermo del Toro’s best English-language film and his best since 2006’s “Pan’s Labyrinth”. The casting and acting was excellent, especially Sally Hawkins’ portrayal of a mute cleaning lady who we come to care for, appreciate, and support throughout the course of the film. The set design and cinematography was phenomenal, with one of the the best conceived storylines in recent memory.

Loved the concept of the film! The "fish man" harkens fond memories back to the time of "Creature from the Black Lagoon". I loved that the protagonist was mute - it added another dimension to this beautiful love story. Well done Guillermo Del Toro!!!

Amazing film. I really liked the subtle way multidimensional tensions were built in and the characters meshed even though they were fantasy I really felt this picture. Full blown brilliant
