At first blush, thought it was kind of weird. Could not tell at first if it was going to be serious, action and/or comedy. It was interesting at the beginning with Mija bonding with Okja. Then Jake Gylenhall gave kind of a nut job performance. Also there were messages of animal rights and genetically modified foods, and WAY to many F-bombs. Some inconsistent themes here.

YOu really began to identify with Okja. The special effects were good and realistic. Parts of the movie were disturbing to me

It didn't really touch my heart. The movie doesn't really have any strong emotional or funny moments. Mija is the only heart n soul of the movie. Rest of the characters were loud.
