A bit slow but excellent acting performance mainly by the main actress. This is part of the history of the USA and it is important to realize how some black people have been unfairly treated and with disrespect and violence. No one should ever have to live a situation like this in a civilized society. Very good movie so that we do not forget the history.

a shamefull story for the USA

A powerful tragic story of one of the most strongest women in history, standing up in the middle of the time of racism speaking her soul. The movie could've been even more powerful if background music would have been added to add more drama/sadness etc. If the tragic parts would've been filmed, would have taken us all by storm. Amazing actress, but not an Oscar performance.

Very good film. Obviously very emotional material and subject but fantastic acting.
