While I like the underlying storyline being based upon a historical event, providing the events from the 3 perspectives of the main characters made the movie rather long and redundant at times.

Be warned - audience must watch a traumatic sexual assault - more than once - and will likely leave the film feeling assaulted. \rAnd yet the film feels slow, boring. WAY too long. I would edit at least an hour out of this.\rScript is stilted, actors talking slow in American accents because it's medieval? Nonsensical casting - Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Driver play 1300s French noblemen. UGH.

Even though very well made, the film seems to support the very subject it also wants to criticize. The social commentary on toxic masculinity seems very on your face to the point of it being ineffective. As for the non-linear storytelling, it fails to bring more of a subjective version of each character's story through their eyes, exposing their leading motivations, resulting in it being tedious

This film is all over the place. It's like three films trying to be one. Gratuitous rape scene times two. Cinematography is great, and the duel scene is fantastic, but I was already exhausted and bored by the time it finally rolled around.
