I really loved it! Milly Alcock did a wonderful job! The villain could’ve been better, but it was a great movie! Also, side note, I loved this screening experience. I’ve done this at other theaters with different studios, and this was by far the most organized one I’ve ever seen!

This is very different from the original comic it's based on. Mily Alcock is incredible in the title role, balancing the grief and the reluctant heroism beautifully. A lot of the emotional moments didn't linger long enough for me, the fast pace of the film feels like a shortcoming in those instances. I don't like that Kara killed Krem feels like a disservice to her character, and especially jarring after she explicitly saves him multiple times. However I'm interested to see how it's handled in next year's Man of Tomorrow. Overall, a good if not great start for one of my favorite superheroes

Technically and visually the film works. However, it seems that Hollywood writers simply cannot fathom a movie with a strong female character that doesn't have a subtext of sexual abuse and/or slavery. Batman can be a technowizard who catches the best equipped villains in the world, Tony Stark can save the world after he's dead, The Hulk can smash his way through a movie, etc., etc., but oh no, it's a female lead, it has to be about submission and abuse. And throw in a big dude to save her a couple times. Enough already.

Overall a very good movie. A few issues with plot and cgi.
