Watched the History Channel's version, the facts and occurences were told differently with each movie.\r\rThe cast was awesome!

Marlon Wayans did an excellent job in this movie. There were pieces of Aretha’s story that were less known which came to light in the film. Ending the movie at “Amazing Grace” left a lot to be desired.

It was a great story and I loved Jennifer Hudson’s performance, but some of the other acting could have been better. The church scenes were cringe worthy and very Hollywood. Overall, it was a good movie, but it felt more like a made for tv story and not so much a big screen movie.
