There was a bunch of awkward scenes which didn't really transition well between each other from sappy scenes to action and so fort. Some actors didn't seem to fit well into the movie which made the movie experience "cheesy". As always, with action movies, Jason always plays his part really well.

I enjoyed it - very easy to buy into it since it seemed realistic that there would be marine biologists out there having this type of research. The lines were a bit corny and there wasn't quite a romantic plot (the effort was there).

It's a cool paint by the numbers summer movie. It kinda reminded of the Family Guy episode when Peter talked about a Jaws sequel featuring a 'bigger Jaws'. I like the environmental subtext about man poking his nose in areas that he shouldn't be and the consequences that can result from such actions.
