The film started alright, the story could have benefited from some omitted scenes and the graphics and wide shots are where the story finds itself. It did feel like in the beginning of the film that a lot of the close ups seemed out of place, but as the film went on the close ups that were created made more sense and had much better framing. The wide shots and graphics were superb and gave scope to the vastness of the settings, giving a strong juxtaposition of the distance between the characters. The movie seemed to stall for a bit when Gardner and Tulsa went to Tulsa's home, it felt like an unnecessary scene. It seemed out of place and the pacing took a strong hit, that forced the film to catch up with itself. Though it was a touching story it felt like the story would have benefited with the death of the main character to pull on the connection the audience has made with the characters. Overall this film's story was quite lackluster, but it did have its strong points with his unfamiliarity of the culture and things of the world. I enjoyed the film to a point but I do feel that it could benefit from some choice editing.
