The story was very good. The fact that the characters were intelligent and figured it out I liked that. That was the best part the intelligence of the characters. The idea was an intriguing one as well. It was a little formulaic but the actors made up for that. It is one of those movies that I will watch each time it is on. Oh way and there was just the right amount of humor, smart humor as well.

Fun action despite plot holes.

Action scenes are good but there are plot problems that detract from the story and ultimately lower the impact of the film.

“The Tomorrow War” isn’t. It’s a science-fiction action film that tries really hard to be a family film. That’s somewhat different from being a family film disguised as a science-fiction action film. Whatever the case, it’s big and loud and somehow McKay coaxed a more-expressive and genuine performance out of a toy superhero than a real-life Chris Pratt.
