This movie starts out with a light hearted romance based in World War II era. It has you laughing and crying. Takes you directly into the line of fire at Okinawa where these men put their lives in direct danger for their country. Dos the main character (and true life story) shows courage and faith unlike no other man. It has you on the edge of your seat, holding your breath and in the end crying!!

Very intense movie that captured the true reality of war; from the heroic men that fought it to the spiritual men that believed lives matters and should be saved through the willingness of God's servant(s). Excellent directing and acting. This movie is one of the best in the same league as Saving Private Ryan, Bridge on the River Kwai and Von Ryan's Express. Would go see again!

They say truth is stranger than fiction. Look no further. Hacksaw Ridge is an amazing retelling of a true story. It holds true to the spirit and convictions of the story's protagonist, Desmond Doss, and is worth the purchase price of a ticket. I would highly recommend Hacksaw Ridge.
