It wasn't as scary as I expected it to be. All new actors, but they did a pretty good job.

I'm actually giving this 3.5 stars.Pros:-The beginning definitely grabs your attention in a great way.-The idea behind The Bye Bye Man's power is original, and the execution of his abilities kept me interested. You never truly learn this entity's backstory, which I appreciate.-Repetition is powerful! I couldn't stop thinking "Don't say it. Don't think it." for the rest of the night!Cons:-The title itself (soooo corny).-There were a few horror cliches that reared their predictable heads and made me roll my eyes a bit.-It's extremely easy for an overly-excitable audience to ruin the movie for you. I suggest seeing it during the day, when there are less people around to make unnecessary outbursts.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was captivating and scary. But it was somewhat predictable. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to view it.

Overall, it was a great start to what appears to be a new franchise. However, they need to jump over some small hurdles first. The movie appears to be aimed at people between the ages of 16-21. I just don't think you can make a franchise aiming there. If that wasn't their intent, they messed up. Early in the movie, I was very satisfied with how the setup was going but when they went away from horror and started adding very bad "jump scares", it turned in to pure cheese. Movie really wasn't bad overall. I'd really like to see something showing some kind of origin of the bye bye man.
