Good overall. Somewhat slow moving. Sexual content was a little much for the PG -13 rating.

Very well acted, especially Jim Parsons, and had an interesting "twist" (breaking the third wall at the death scene) but still not quite as poignant and emotionally devastating as I thought it would be. It was still very moving, but I thought there needed to be a bit more "depth" to the relationship to really become more emotionally invested. I'm sure the book achieves that, but I felt it was a little bit of a let down. Still dying from cancer is horrific and beyond sad, and you definitely have to be in the right mindframe to watch this. Well constructed if somewhat predictable film. But overall an enjoyable picture.

I didn’t feel particularly invested in the characters relationship. I enjoyed the beginning and the getting to know each other but then there were 13 Christmas trees and they were separated. I felt like the relationship between Mike & Marilyn/Bob was better developed than Mike & Kit. \rI did overall enjoy it and would recommend if someone wanted a good cry movie.
