A touching film based on true events and definitely not subtle messaging, 'Blue Bayou' makes it's mark with superb casting and editing. But even that can't save the film from obvious first time directing gaffs and infuriating close up camera work. Still the film packs an emotional punch.

Very good movie.

An incredibly poignant story with amazing performances. There were a couple scenes where the dialogue sounded like it wasn’t recorded very clean on set, but I quickly forgot about it and got sucked right back into the narrative.

Anybody over here who is at question as to why should what this. Almost wish we had a followup.\r
