Very interesting film with many unexpected twist . It will keep you guessing. Carey Mulligan is a very compelling actress in a very demanding role which she knocks it out of the park . Go see it!!!

This was like a fairy tale gone wrong. Cassie's loyalty to Nina was so strong that she basically lived to avenge what had happened to her. In a fairy tale, Cassie would have gotten revenge, then walked away. In real life, the happy ending would have been Cassie "moving on," as Nina's mother suggested. The sad statement of the movie, though, seemed to be that getting revenge against Al meant Cassie had to die. Also, no man could rise above the "animal" nature that led to Nina's demise, not even Ryan - pretty anti-male. But definitely riveting to watch.

A little all over the place. Some plot aspects were difficult to believe. Great performances. Looked great. Interesting starting point for cinematic investigation of culpability & consequences of "we were just kids"/"boys will be boys" attitudes, but didn't quite deliver. Climax was relatively unsatisfying because SHE WAS DEAD. Would love to see a story like Cassie's where the woman got to stand in her righteousness & power in the end, instead of being dead or diminished by men & society.
