A movie that embraces the somewhat ridiculous premise of Aquaman as a hero and has a good balance of action, adventure, mythos and heart.

While not as good as Wonder Woman, Aquaman solidly takes second place, beating out BvS, Justice League, MoS, and Suicide Squad. This was a good solo film brought down by a few strange design choices (so many conversation-interrupting wall explosions) The portrayals were true to character, and the fights were great. I'm still waiting for DC to match Marvel's balance of seriousness and comedy.

The beginning started off pretty strong, and the ending was very good, too. But it was very long, and some of the scenes could have been cut to move the pace along a little bit better. Overall, it was not bad, worth a watch.

It was OKAY. Typical storyline. Predictable, no real surprises or “wow” moments. Action packed, perhaps to a fault (too lengthy). Average movie for an evening out.
